I have been providing free religious training for kids in different countries since 2003. I have to say this is the best English series for 04--07 y/o I have ever come across. The drawings are gorgeous; the topics suit this age range; the way the topics are approached is suitable for this age; and, the level of English is right. Yet, there are a few points that could have been developed better. Inshaa Allah, they will be fixed in the next printings:
Book 1
---------
1) Husna suddenly "figures out" all the possible ways she could help her mum as soon as she hears that God (S.W.T.) loves kids who help their parents. A kid of that age cannot figure all that out on their own. Usually, they need to be guided.
2) The English translation for the chosen verse is not exactly what the Arabic says. Something like the following would have been better and would actually go better with the storyline: "... And, one is to do one's parents good."
Book 2
----------
1) The English translation for the verse isn't quite right. God (S.W.T.) is the one who blesses other things. He Himself (S.W.T.) is not blessed. I'd rather translate the first proportion of the verse as: "Well-done Allah!"
2) The capitalisation of words is a bit off sometimes.
Book 3
---------
1) The choice of hide-and-seek for explaining the verse of this book is so great. Yet, it's unclear for kids why Allah (S.W.T.) always tells Asma where Husna and her friends are. Is Allah (S.W.T.) in the game? Why does He not show up Himself then?
2) Kids of this age cannot understand the meaning of Allah''s greatness. Furthermore, is the reason why we can't see God (S.W.T.) really because he's so great?
